What is one thing that Indian parents can never understand?

You remember this scene. Right?

If you are an Indian child in their teens belonging to an average earning family, you already know what I mean.

No doubt parents are always great, be it India’s or any of any country. Parents are parents. They love you, and they want better for you. They sacrifice their chapati so that you can be full; they sacrifice their new clothes so that you can be updated with the trend; they use a low-end phone but will gift your smart-phone so that you can be at ease; they will sacrifice their blanket so that you can feel the warmth.

If you're an Indian and don’t have a functional money status; you belong to an average class family, thus you probably already know what sacrifices your parent make just to flesh you up. Their only dream they have is that they don’t want you in the same position as they are in!

Yes, it is this point where they don't understand you.

Why do you think our country is producing the most significant number of engineers?

Because everyone’s favorite subject is Science or because they want to serve their country by doing this?

Hush!

Never!

By the time you grow up and gain some conscience, you know your parents are working hard to get you settled for better future by educating you in best possible school they could afford. After 10th, if you score well in academics, you are already an engineer for your parent. They see a future in you. Maybe they will never say this to you, but they want you to be. You know, every son(WHY ONLY SON?DAUGHTERS TOO) get to understand this at one point. You are pressurised by your parent’s hope to take up science . They want you to be like the one in your neighbour who once scored 350 in JEE and is now doing a job in some good firm. They heard that IITians are sure to get a secure job. They think the ones who do good in academics are successful. They want you to be like other but never gets to understand that not all the five fingers are equal.

Your parent never understand your dream.

If you are brought up in middle class family you know how important is government job too.

Yes, Indian parents do say “go do whatever you want to do”; but how many times had you seen a parent coming and saying to you “why don’t you go to some good art school, you draw well”, or “if you want to be a writer, I am with you”, or “sure, you want to do gymnastics go for it”. No one will ever say this to you.

If you are good at math, you are born CA or if you understand physics and chemistry well- go! IIT is waiting for you !

Why don’t we ever hear that “a farmers son sold his masterpiece drawing for the worth of millions”? Why this headline?- “farmers son cleared UPSC with top rank.” Why don’t we ever hear “Rickshaw wallah’s son wrote a novel that went to be the Best-seller and won Booker prize”? but “Rickshaw wallah’s son bagged all India ‘X’th rank in JEE”?

I had this one friend in the village. He was taught in Bihar’s(my hometown) topmost school. He was good in arts and crafts. He could sing and perform well too. In the introduction session of class XII when a teacher asked if they enjoy taking up science, he was the only one to say “no, I wanted commerce. I regret science.”

After about a year when I visited his parent, I got to know that he wanted to join an art school. Although he was good in science, paints fascinated him more. But he belonged to a low-income family. He was taught in a school whose monthly fees was half his dad’s income and his parent struggled each day to achieve his schooling. When I asked why they didn’t let him join the art school, they were “There is no income there .Besides what will he do, sit near Taj and draw couples? I don’t want him to struggle as I do, besides he is good in studies…….there is nothing in drawing and sketching.”

Yes, the scene now a day is changing(maybe) - now when you want to be a dancer, your parent don't object. If you're going to be a journalist, they still consider your thought.

I never meant parent don’t try to understand their child. Actually, they try their best ,but in the process somewhere they kill their child dream of being someone other than engineer and doctor.

Storyline: The wait is finally over and the much awaited, much anticipated and the movie with the most expensive budget hit the theaters this Friday, the 27th of April. It's the 19th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is still counting. And when it came to Infinity war, there is no stone left unturned and everything seems to be larger and bigger than before. Be it its great budget, props, good plot, ensemble cast, crew, visuals or expectations. The movie is as a result of the past build up in this decade right from the first movie -Iron Man in 2008. This movie provides a cohesive end to the story arc that lasted for a decade.

Marvel fans -even before you start guessing the movies is about whom? since the star cast is so big, let me add a spoiler and tell you that the movie is solely about the Thanos -the gigantic cosmic villain -about his making who believes that he is being merciful by killing people and other 'weak' races in the universe collecting stones for his 'gauntlet'.

The very first scene of the movie tries to establish a darker tone, as piles of mutilated aliens mark the arrival of a truly intimidating villain who is too cruel to kill Loki -the until villain of Avengers by smashing him like an ant, soon after having a fight with the Hulk. He is rude,  he is strong.

Hulk is thrown to the Earth using Bifrost by Heimdall before being killed by Thanos, where he lands to Sanctum Santorum warning Stephen Strange and Wong about the Thanos and his quest for the six infinity stones.

Next scene sees Tony Stark joining up the fight against the Thanos. Meanwhile, Thanos' children invade Earth in a way to retrieve the Time Stone form the Strange's possession. After a battle including Peter Parker, Maw captures Strange; Stark and Parker pursue Maw's spaceship while Wong remains to protect the sanctum. Banner contacts the other Avengers.

The next few minutes of the movie is spend in teeming and uniting up some of the heroes of Avengers and rescuing up of Thor by the Guardians of the Galaxy, who then head for making such a weapon which could be used to stop Thanos from the ultimate destruction of half of the universe.

Next few scenes are dedicated to Thanos who does everything possible to get all six infinity stones to his possession, including the sacrifice of his adopted daughter Gamora who is thrown to death for grant of soul stone. He even uses Time Stone to revert the destroy of The Vision, so that he can extract the Mind Stone destroying him once again.

Thanos teleports away, leaving the disintegrated Avenger team, while healed, awakens on another planet and watches the sunset in satisfaction. This is where we came to know that one more part is there which is reported to be released in mid of 2019.

And then comes the most rumored After Credit scene, where Nick Fury is seen sending a distressed message to someone. Most probably Captain Marvel, who is believed to be the most powerful among the other Avengers. Thus, MCU is smart enough to leave its fans once again in mystery and even before the second day of release Part II of the movie is anticipated.

Review: Okay, now comes the responsive part! You watched the trailer, you read the review and maybe even saw some spoiler video too. You know the story behind the making of this ambitious project which took about a decade to complete. But you are still in doubt and the million dollar question is: Does it live up to the expectation? 

Hell Yes. Nothing can be more satisfying than watching all the Marvel hero in single movie sharing screen. Here Russo brother must be applauded for his effort of bringing all these characters on screen and that so swiftly. And why Russo only but everyone behind the scene who made it all possible. There hardly is a scene where you would say it is unappropriated. You love it or not but every next scene worth a applause.

Although the movie is great and there hardly is a dull scene, you can say (after watching) that your superhero's screen presence is not very long. Some can even complain that the prominence of the character is used to its full potential. Being a movie of such a big budget and expectation, there is always a little tid and tad left. It is always a hard thing to present diverse heroes with a different character in the single frame. And for whatever period your favorite superhero make the appearance, you would love it.

According to me, this Marvel movie is a must watch if you are a fan of Marvel movies and not of any single superhero. Plus, I would recommend watching all the previous Marvel movies before so that you could easily cope up with what is happening when and who is who?

It's once a lifetime movie. Go for it. It won't fail to satisfy you!

Why I went for 'Rong Beronger Kori' and not 'Baaghi 2' | Movie Review | plot,cast,etc

It’s the last Friday of the month and no such sassy movies hit the theatres. But before the end of the months, Bengali cinema has been lauded up with 9 great released today. Yes, you read it right 9 releases today. You see Bengalis had a hard time choosing what movie to watch. there always is a problem of plenty. While 9 releases simultaneously raptured each other’s market to a great extent, Hindi release Baaghi 2 added insult to injury.

While a huge crowd has been either attracted by Baaghi 2 or by ‘Ghore and Baire ‘ by Koyel and Jissu thanks to its good promotion and big star cast, I guess hardly 30% of the cinematic audience have chosen either from the rest of 8 Bengali movies in unison. After shuffling through bonuses and trailers, and going through synopsis bite from the evenest of the releases today-‘Rong Beronger Kohri’ attracted me the most. Let name be alone, but it is its unique theme that made me choose it.

For all the non-Bengalis reading this lets me first tell you the meaning of what the movie’s title means: Basically it means the color of money. ’Rong Beronger’ is equal to ‘of different color’ and ‘kohri’ which is actually ‘cowrie’ is a medium of exchange which signifies money (in Hindu).

Directed by Ranjan Ghosh, this movie deals with the ties of money and relationship. Let not tell money, but lack of money is what the central theme that is drawing all the incidents in it into a single knot. The film comprises four short stories. The stories of the variant color of money in human life.

This is what hypnosis tells us:

Rong Beronger Korhi is an anthology film that weaves together four tales through the common thread of money. Through these stories, peopled by a host of interesting characters, the film examines how money is more than just a medium of exchange, potent enough to influence and even define various facets of our everyday lives.

The first story revolves around a poor rural couple (Soham and Arunima) who once fell in love with each other as commonly as we all fell in but after a happy marriage is now looking for a divorce. Being a illiterate they don’t have any idea of getting separated lawfully, this is where we see a local councillor named Kharag Mukherjee getting the task done but in exchange of some money, but the male character don’t have that much amount .His adamantness regarding the divorce is a funny sight where even after the divorce they fail to de-love themselves and for remarriage they need money is the seam of the tale for this half an hour. Here money as a color of love is shown. Love won over money.

The second story features much gracious Arunima again in role of Manda who is married to a much older man than her (Chiranjeet Chakraborty), suffering from an inoperable malignant tumor. She is also suffering from a heart problem and being an unlucky daughter (her mother died and father turned alcoholic) she had to refuse her lover Mithun (Arjun Chakraborty) and marry him for she feels a lack of money in her life. Here, money is something that tied her into an unknown relationship but after a while, she fell in love with her husband but a sudden accident throws Manda into a serious dilemma.

Congratulation to those who were guessing that there must be the demonetization tale. Yes, it was. Played by Ritwick Chatterjee, an anonymous character is a victim of demonetization after being fired from his job. His cigarette is being pulled off from his mouth for he didn't have a change and this is what carried him to red light zone. There he encounters a prostitute (Rituparna Sengupta), who’s past story tells the importance of money in his life. While the intense tale is tried to light up by some common day pun talks between the dealer and the character, this story deals with the glittery color of money. I assure you, end of this tale would surely bring you Goosebumps.

The last and the simplest story is about a ‘dhaak’ player Joga (who shows an affinity towards ‘dhaak’ inherited from his father) and her widowed mother (Rituparna). Joga is adamant to cure his mother of some disease she has been suffering (that is never mentioned), for which he needs to go to a city to earn some money. Durga Puja is arriving and ‘dhaak' competition is also being held. He leaves for city promising her mother that he would win the competition and cure her mother with the earned money. He is drowned in 'dhaak' while he receives a heart-breaking news. This story is more like we see poor people dealing with. They need money and it is what carried Joga to leave his mother at the assurance of God. The conclusion of the story is heart filling and the dialogue “Tui ek maa ke chere r ek mayer kache jacchis “ can tentatively make you prepare what is gonna happen next. Remember at Dashami ‘Ma Durga‘ leaves for her house too.

Simple yet beauty- this is what my opinion is about this movie.  The movie narrated no such extraordinary tales but some simple tales of simple people around us whom we often refuse to understand makes the movie a worthy watch.While the movie promises a good plot but is let down by an over-simplified script that most often is predictable. (Actually, my friend predicted two of the tales). The acting department is something that is managed ably by an ensemble cast. The actors (especially a de-glam Arunima and Soham) did a commendable job. 

While the stories are told apart and somehow of different method, a common string of money beholds them all. There are some pacing issue too (since the stories were predictable) but you will hardly feel for it as is ably covered with some comic scenes too. The voice over does its job too. But it is director Ranjan Ghosh who lack at execution somewhere but the idea of exploring the subject of money through relationships, realities and emotions is unique, he focuses more on the characters than the subject matter.

Critics give it a 2.5 star but I feel it deserve more. I would give it a 3.5 star. Overall it’s a worthy watch.Give it a try, it won't disappoint you. 

I have heard people saying ‘hari hari note’, but after watching this you can definitely argue that money is not always green.

CBSE re-fixes Examination. Is it because Paper leaked? My Opinions

*Note: Before you read a single sentence and gets offended anyway, a word of caution: It is wholly my OWN opinion and no way have I tried to allege or support anyone!!

Leak or no leak!

It doesn't matter. CBSE has announced re-examination for Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Math papers. And it is us, the honest student who will be suffering, being said that the re-examination date is still not confirmed yet when some important dates are waiting for us ahead. But, it is also a fact that none can be question. No Board will ever leak its own paper to defame itself neither student is responsible anyway!

Be it anything, but this act cements the allegation that was put on it that the paper was pre-leaked.And not only for the once but for more than a couple of times.It is disgusting at times. Most of the students coming out of the examination halls reported that the paper was damn easy and the questions were directly from the NCERT books,while few suggested it was more or less like the leaked one(I didn't personally analyzed all the questions by myself)! It is strange and an undeniable mistake that has been committed by the CBSE.It is a fact of matter that how CBSE has managed to make this mistake, which is gaining a quick fire at about every Social networking platform!

 CBSE says it has taken this move "to uphold the sanctity of the Board Examinations and in the interest of fairness to students" so it is believed that no student should be offended. But,is it so easy to say and digest this? Think you prepared for the meeting burning nights lamp and morning’s ray, you go to the hall, give a nice presentation and is even assigned a promotion and.....

Then....bam...

Whatever you did cannot be counted because whatever you said so creatively is already known to the clients because someone already leaked all your documents beforehand to him and you are required to do that whole thing again and now more creatively!!Yes, tell me!!How do you feel!!
MORE PLEASANT?

Again the same thing, in this whole scenario none of both can be blamed? If client knew this fact it is not their mistake, and neither the guys mistake that his document got leaked. Both of them now suffers in its own manner. Don’t blame anyone!

For those who don't get this small tale, let me re-clear this tale. Here, the client is YOU the students and the Guy who prepared hard for the presentation is Board. Both of you are innocent and tried hard but someone third here did the wrong!

Who is a culprit then....?

Culprit is that third person who is responsible for the leak. Maybe, some fortunes is what buy them but unknowingly he did a harm of millions....that he never realizes (or maybe he does, if CBSE forms a chair to investigate about it, if resentment grows).

And in a special mention I would like to name the fourth culprit also, they are the one who wanted to leak the paper or they can be the people who vitalized this leaked paper! CBSE here can also be hold responsible. Didn’t should they have a good security for this things? Isn’t it worth more than golds? I feel yes, don’t know about other! (Sorry if I am wrong)

Everyone is having a different view on this matter and believe me, nothing can be more heart broken than getting the news that the paper is canceled after you happily return from the examination hall!!

I know, I may not have been able to make a good judgment to this topic but this is what my Opinion is - plain and rusty!!

Ustad Bishmillah Khan's 102nd birthday today. Google celebrated it with it's unique style .

Those of you, if still living in the age of darkness and hasn't yet searched anything on Google today, is justified that you don’t know the importance of the day. Yes, today's the 102nd birth anniversary of the noted Shennai player Ustad Bishmillah Khan and Google with its popular Google Doodle style has honoured him.

Known for his melodious sound of Shennai, that can melt even the stones, it couldn't have been possible without him that Shennai today has gained a higher rank in Indian classical music as well as taking it to the Global World Stage.

Bihar has given many precious stones to the world and undoubtedly Ustad Bishmillah Khan is one of them most shining. Born in Bhirung Raut ki Gali as Qamaruddin Khan in 1916 belonged from a reputed Muslim Musician family. His ancestors were also the musician who used to play to Naqqar Khan in the Princely State of Bhojpur now known as Bihar. His father was also a Shehnai player in the court of Maharaja Keshav Prasad Singh of Dumraon Estate, Bihar.

He was a legend and great son of India. His prominence in Shennai caused foreign countries to request for his performance, like in 1966, when the Shennai Maestro was invited to play in Edinburg festival, but he accepted it with a clause that he will be first taken to trip to Mecca and Medina with all-expense-paid. Condition was accepted and he performed.

Believed to have been started playing in public at the small age of 14, Ustad ji's performance at the All India Music Conference Music Conference at Kolkata in 1957 became the defining moment in his career. Three decades later, when he performed at the Edinburgh Music Festival, the shennai acquired a global audience, and in the minds of millions, became synonymous with its player.

He performed at the Red ford on India's Independence Day and also on the Republic Day Ceremony on January 26 of 1950. Since, then he bacame a part of it and his performance was shown immediately after the Prime Minister's address to the nation.

Ustad ji's experience has always followed the true vison of society. In one of the interview he describes how he met Lord Krishna. He says once when travelling from train he found a cowherd boy who boarded in the same third class bogey as Ustad ji was. He was a dark and lean boy; and he was holding a flute in his hands. Slowly the boy started playing his flute .The supreme quality of his music surprised the maestro Ustad who didn't even know the 'Raga' the boy was playing. Ustad ji believed him to be none other than  Sri Krishna , the Supreme God Himself .The nectarine Nada-Brahman (Brahman in the form of music) flowing out of Krishna's flute filled Ustad's heart with ecstasy ; and tears of joy started pouring out of his eyes .

It was then that he called the boy near him and asked him to play and in return the maestro would reward him with a coin from. It went on reputing until Bismiillah Khan's wallet became empty. Young Krishna got down at the next railway station and disappeared.

Ustad ji, the receiver of the highest civilian honour , the Bharat Ratan in 2001, had been earlier been awarded by the Padma Bhushan in 1968, the Padma Vibhushan award in 1980,Fellow of SangeetNatak Akademi in 1994 ,SangeetNatak Akademi Award in 1956among many other uncountable awards.

Devoted to his art, who would often call his Shennai as his Begum will be the cause of inspiration and is idol to millions of people in India. He did something that was so impossible that is giving music its missing part and as he says 

      “Even if the world ends, the music will still survive… music has no caste.”
